Vigfús Þormar Gunnarsson

Vigfús Þormar Gunnarsson is an Icelandic casting director and founder of Doorway Casting. After graduating from the Acting Department of the Icelandic Film School in 2012, he worked as both an actor and a first and second assistant director before moving into casting in 2015.

His casting credits in film and television include the recently released international feature film The Brink of War, as well as When the Light Breaks, Beautiful Beings, and Black Sands. Drawing on his experience both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, Vigfús brings a practical understanding of performance, the audition process, and the demands of film and television production to his work with actors.

He has been a member of the International Casting Directors Association (ICDA) since 2024.
